Twenty Nine

My eyes skimmed through my textbook as I leaned on my table, trying to cover as many topics as possible.

I stifled a yawn, not wanting to make a sound in the library and my fingers flipped through the pages of my textbook, loving the scent of the ink.

The end of the semester's exams was soon going to commence, and I had a lot to cover. Students trooped into the library to get some extra studying done before exams commenced on Monday or Tuesday.

I tried focusing on my book while simultaneously trying to stay awake. I noticed I was unusually cranky when my fingers traced over an ecosystem interaction diagram.

I stared at my palm, which was decorated with several ink stains. This particular topic on waste management was so annoying, and I had tried everything to make it easier, from post-it notes with color-coded tags to YouTube videos, and even one-on-one interactions did not help much.

Groaning with frustration, I kept it aside and glanced over at the climate change handout
