Missing the Past

"Alex, please don't break my contract," pleaded a woman in a cleaning uniform. She leaned her back against the wall.

"Do you still want to work here?" a man asked, stroking her cheek seductively. "That's easy, as long as you're willing to do whatever I ask."

Adine pressed her back against the wall, still afraid to come out, while the sound of the inappropriate conversation was still in her ears. She only dared to come out when the sound of the conversation between the two people outside faded.

A few moments later, Adine stepped out of the elevator. She saw Monica, who was busy with her device, sitting on the end sofa across from the reception desk.

"Monic, I'm sorry you had to wait so long," Adine said, making an apologetic face.

"I thought you fell asleep in the locker room," Monica said as she exited the sofa.
