Adolph watched the mysterious maid, slink out of the room albeit secretly and he cursed bitterly.

“What did you say Adolph? Shouldn’t I call for help of any kind?” Fenris asked, hands still on his shoulder holding him tightly, and Adolph started to shrug him off.

Ever since the maid had entered, causing a brief interruption that had thrown everyone in the room into chaos, Adolph felt like something in him had changed.

The minute he had set his eyes on her, those magical orbs ensnaring him, he had felt a sharp pain shoot up to his chest which made him stumble back to his seat, clutching his heart as he tried to gain his bearings.

He just couldn’t stop looking at her, and at the same time his heart kept thumping wildly pain shooting through every spine in his chest, but surprisingly the minute she left he felt instant relief all over him.

His eyes shaking in disbelief, he muttered to no one in particular, “I am fine.”
