Melinda’s POV
“Give me your hand, Melinda.” Kain said as he walked inside and sat on the chair placed opposite to my bed.
“What?” I blurted out, a bit startled by his sudden request.
“Why do you look like you have seen a ghost?” His lips curled into a sweet smile as he reached over; lifting my right hand and cocooning between his, “I am just asking you for your hand, not your heart.”
“Umm… It’s just that… I am not comfortable.” I stuttered, trying to pull my hand back. Why couldn’t Kramen and Kain understand? Why couldn’t they just stay away?
All these little actions; everything we said or did together was going to haunt me my entire life; no matter whom I chose.
I was trying my best to keep myself from falling deeper into the spiral of emotions but these two were making it more and more difficult.

Keith’s POV I groaned as a sudden jerk made me lunge forward. My head came in contact with something soft and I was pulled back again.“Careful! Melinda’s POV “Kramen, you are finally back.” I rushed over to greet him at the doorstep. “While you were gone, Keith had called. He is totally fine.”“Is he now?” Kramen snapped, shrugging his shoulders with a nonchalant expression. “I thought we had finally gotten rid of him.”“Kramen! Don’t say things just to hurt me.” I grabbed his shoulders and looked into his eyes. “You know you don’t mean that.
