CHAPTER 19

Keith’s POV

“Alpha Bridgeton,” I flashed him a tight-lipped smile. “What a pleasant surprise.” My jaws clenched with the effort of trying to restrain my temper. “I didn’t expect you to receive me at the airport given your busy schedule.”

“I had to come.” His lips spread into a wide grin as he clapped my back. “After all, we have a magical pact binding us in an inseparable bond.”

“And what is with you calling Alpha Bridgeton?” He said, holding the door open for me. “Just call me Uncle Alex as usual.”

To the bystanders, we might have looked like close kins having a light-hearted conversation when in fact he was warning me. It was his way of telling me that I couldn’t escape my fate.

Even his gesture of receiving me and holding the car door open for me was his way of showing that I was practically his prisoner till I was in Queensland. I had no choice but to play along, at least until I had found a way out.
