CHAPTER 18

Melinda’s POV

‘I never want to see your face again, Keith Rivers. I am better off without you.’ The words I spoke to Keith weighed heavily on my conscience. Though I was angry, I shouldn’t have used such harsh words.

Biting my lower lip, I projected my thoughts towards Corel, ‘He won’t take my words seriously, would he?’

Corel remained silent for a long moment before sighing, ‘Given Keith’s personality, it is totally possible. Didn’t you see his eyes when you said those words? He looked so hurt and angry.’

“What am I going to do now, Corel?” I muttered, tearing my hair. “What if he refuses to talk to me again?”

‘What is the point of agonising over it? If you are really feeling guilty, call him and apologise.’

A long, deep sigh escaped my lips. Corel was right. The best course of action was to talk to Keith. Drawing in a long breath, I grabbed my phone and dialled his number.
