Zirah's POV

"He has," I confirmed what he heard. " And I have to leave to get my kids back." I omit the fact that I wouldn't come back.

He shook his head at me, downing glass after glass until I began to worry about him as he teetered unsteadily on shaky legs. I wondered how much he must have had to drink.

"It's what you wanted all along, wasn't It?" "What?! No-" I deny vehemently but he cut me off.

"You know what? I don't want to hear it, Do whatever the fuck you want, I don't care anymore." He banged the door as he left and the echo of the door hitting the wall echoed in my mind long after I left.

I didn't have much time to ponder on how he reacted to what I had to tell him because I had to put my children first. I gathered a little bag and set out of the city, letting my guard escort me halfway through until I sent him back with flimsy excuses.
