Ariana's POV

Claire and I moved to the lab so that she could carry out the test on me. Considering that I had spent seventeen years on earth, I had never had my blood tested before and I was not scared about it. How could I, when I had been totured for many years. Of course, just a little withdrawal of blood didn't scare me. I just wanted to see how it was done.

Claire settled down to work and got busy, preparing the equipments that she would need. When she was done, she spoke. "Give me your left hand."

Since we were sitting opposite each other on white cane chairs, it was easy for me to outstretch my hand to her, and she took it, pricked the inner skin of my index finger and let drops of blood fall onto the glass, and that was it. She only had to run the test.

I settled down to watch her as she moved around the equipments, set the test running and moved back to my side to take her seat. I watched her and she watched me but this time, there wasn't even a hint of animosity between us.
