His coming today was greeted by the autumn wind that blew so hard and the cold was able to seep into the thick coat he was wearing now and the yellow leaves that were scattered along the hospital grounds. This is a regular visit every week. He never missed a visit and would still visit even though his schedule was very busy. Even his wife nagged every time he got home because he never spent more time with her if she wasn't sulking or even grumpy.
He didn't understand why Calvin was his favorite so far. He had only liked him since the first time he met him at the military camp in search of a potential agent candidate. The first thing Catherine saw when she opened the door for the bell ringer was a grim face and red eyes from crying too much. The smile on her face soon disappeared and was replaced by a worried look because she found Hazel coming home in a condition that wasn't what she expected. She thought Hazel would be happier after coming home from D.C, considering she'd gotten what she'd wanted all along, a chance to meet Kiev and ask about Calvin. But what she saw at this time actually looked worrying. Hazel's condition had become much worse than the last time she had seen her before she left for the airport full of joy. "The girls?" she asked wearily as she plopped down on the couch. She had tried not to cry the whole way from the airport to her apartment. Entering the third month of her pregnancy, Hazel found it much easier to regulate her emotions and live out her days as a judge. "I woke up earlier than you, alarm." Calvin smirked at his alarm, which was just about to go off loudly to wake him up. Six in the morning. It was the time displayed on his digital clock screen, but he had been awake since two hours ago. He'd brewed coffee, had breakfast bagels, and now he's doing some exercises with dumbbells in the mini gym at home. He shouldn't have to set an alarm just to turn it off and mock it because he wakes up earlier than the one he set to go off at six. But this is fun.
