CHAPTER 83: A NEW ALLIANCE

Roman’s POV

Silence.

That is all that fills the room.

Caelen and I sit together at the ends of the table, our fingers intertwined as the wheel spins and our brains turn faster than ever before.

It has already been established that Reid is the one in possession of our ring. He also has Meredith for reasons that are still very much unknown to us. We tried getting the information out of Amarie, but she has been a wailing mess after the phone call with Reid.

Personally, I could not care less if she was on the verge of death. I still needed to know what Reid planned on doing with Meredith. But Caelen, being the more reasonable one, thought it would be better to leave her be in the meantime and ‘grieve’.

I snorted at the last word. Grieve for what? She should have known that the psychopath would do something like this.

To think that she decided to betray us for a man like him, we never, not even in a million years would have betrayed Amarie or done anything to hurt her. we would have ra
