Dahlia POV.

Waiting to hear from the nomads is frustrating. It has been over 48 hours since the packs were attacked. Brent and the others called to tell me they only found the dead wolves of the nomads. No actual pack members.

That complicates things further. I’m not convinced they were acting alone. The nomads have no need to attack those packs. Well, that’s a lie.

The packs that have reason are those that the six sick fuckers belonged to. After all, all six were future alphas. So it is obvious why they would attack the pack of the alphas that caused their deaths. But why use the nomads?

“Dah, any word from Alpha Reynolds yet?” my dad asks as we walk the border. I shake my head. I have tried to call beta Lionel but no response.

“No, he is probably dealing with the aftermath of it all. He will get in touch when he has time.” I say that is another thing that is bothering me.
