Belle could hear the piano’s key changing. The tune smoothing out as it turn to a newer song. Her eyes were affixed at the red gaze that didn’t once let her leave.

She felt Leon’s hand across her her waist while her fingers hang on his shoulder. The waltz started slow with the flow of the tune and all she could hear was the echoes of both her shoes and his in the silent lake.

Belle gulped feeling his hand pulling her tighter, “You’re a good dance,” she spoke, an effort to drive away the silence.

“Am I? That’s flattering, I would have thought you have danced with so many better men out there,” Leon said, perhaps still spiteful that she didn’t called him handsome the last time.

She chuckled as his sarcasm that sound funnier to her as the time passes. “In comparison, don’t you think I have fall pale in comparison to your other dance partners?” Belle stepped forward only to feel her lungs stopped working with how close her lips
