Arthur POV

She had pulled away from me to regulate her breathing, she swallowed and stared at my face briefly before moving them to her hands. Dani was bold and fierce eighty percent of the times and it made her seem like a dominant force that couldnt be overruled, and yet she melted in my arms over a kiss. Like a school girl who was reliving her first time, shy, innocent and beautiful.

“So tell me, you’re just coming back from a trip?” she asked as we began cleaning up the mess in the room, she carried the plates while i arranged the utensils in respective spaces.

“Yes, it was nothing important.” i shrugged and when i put away the knife in the rack and turned she was already staring at me with those question in her eyes. “What?”

“You say its not important, yet you left without a word for a week, so tell me Arthur what does that count as?”

“Its nothing you should be worried about, honestly.” I tell her but she didnt seem fazed to let it all go.
