Daphne’s POV

Shock was plastered on their faces and that was the exact reaction I was hoping to get from Alpha Ryder, the smile on Dad’s face told me that I had come at the right time.

I could still feel the triplets' fear as they stood around me, with Ray’s arms around mine and my hand was Rory's.

The problem was: Alpha Ryder really underestimated our mate bond like before, even though I knew they still had resentment for me for having killed their mum, they regretted what they had done to me.

I didn’t have the strength to go deeper into that because

It would mean me exposing my identity and also opening up the past, I think, is best forgotten.

I had been weak and let them ride me over me, a part of me still hated them for that, but the future that Alpha Ryder was trying to steal from me was more important than my hatred here.
