Chapter 49

Raymond entered the pack house, a determined look on his face. The first thing he sought was Mason. He turned his head to Alpha Mark and Sandra, questioning, “Where is Mason?”

“Alpha, he’s in his room,” Sandra replied sweetly.

“I think it’s time to teach him some manners. The head Alpha came back from outside. Everyone is here to welcome him, but he’s busy in his room,” Raymond expressed with annoyance.

“Sandra, go and call him now,” Alpha Mark ordered his wife.

Sandra nodded and hurried to Mason’s room. After a few minutes, Mason came out, standing nervously in front of Raymond, stealing glances at Beta Justin and Jennifer.

Jennifer avoided eye contact, so he lowered his head and greeted Raymond. “Alpha.”

“Where were you? I heard you’re too free these days?” Raymond inquired.

“No, Alpha. I was thinking about working somewhere,” Mason explained.

“Where?”

“In some land, if you give me permission,” Mason replied.
