Golf in Queens has grown in popularity since four local golf courses featured in the early 2000s. Forest Park , Clearview Park , Douglaston , and Kissena Park are all public golf courses owned by New York City and managed by the American Golf Corporation. There is also a driving range at Alley Pond Park (Douglaston), a pitch-and-putt course at Breezy Point, and pitch-and-putt plus mini-golf at Flushing Meadows Park.

The Forest Park Golf Course is on the west edge of Forest Park, just off the Jackie Robinson Parkway. The 18-hole, 6,000-yard course is considered one of NYC's best golf courses.
