36: Not a Chance

When Carter entered the class, my eyes and mind were immediately focused on him. He was wearing the Med students' shirt, looking dazzling as ever. Though, he looked a lot more intense today. His emotionless eyes had not even once looked at me. He just stood there, talking in front coldly like I don't exist at all.

He really stands by the decision. He don't want any connection with me anymore. He didn't want to talk to me or even look at me. He wants us to be a total stranger to each other, regardless of everything that happened. I could still accept his inconsistent treatment of me if I had done something wrong.

But in our case, I didn't. I don't even understand him. For a minute, he would give me a hint of concern, the next moment he has another mood. He is like climate change, quiet unpredictable.
