38: Only Silence

I thought his beauty beyond natural is only a coincidence, as well as his weird accent sometimes like he's from another time. I thought it was all just in my imagination that he could read my mind, and his eyes can glow or darken. Now, I know better. This is the truth. The part of reality which is beyond natural.

For a minute, silence took over between us. His face was blank while staring at me so I can't say if he was mad or what. I just stared at him, waiting for him to speak. I actually have a lot of questions for him, but I decided to take one step at a time. I can't afford him losing his cool because of my nosiness of his supposed to be private life.

"What are you thinking?" He finally spoke, I can almost taste the disdain in his voice dripping like acid.

"I thought you could read minds?"

"I can," he admitted. I fight the urge to smile because he's starting to open up with me.
