Aiden

HIS FATHER USED to tell him that the mind is a person's worst enemy.

That the moment he began to feel, he would become open to his enemies and they would use those feeling against him.

Aiden never realised how true that would turn out to be.

Seeing Diana's friends and the female vampire arriving at the castle without her, made him think the worst. He composed himself until they were in the confines of his study.

"Where is she?" He asked immediately the door was shut. "Still with Prince Asher?"

"No, she managed to escape from him," Robin responded.

Aiden nodded in relief. "That's good. Very good, indeed. And, where is she now?"

Though Diana escaped, that still it did not mean King Lennon and his son were off the hook. Their time was coming soon, and Aiden would be coming for them.

"That is why we are here, King Aiden. Gary has her," Robin said, interrupting his thoughts.

"Wait, what? How did that happen?" Aiden asked, shooting up from his seat.
