Chapter 34 Humanity Lost

Finally feeling as if his lonely life was becoming complete, Faelon shed a few tears that dripped down his cheeks as he held Sophia.

"I want to be sure that none of your soul is still connected to Randall before I go to end him," he growled low in Sophia's hair. Sophia nodded, rubbing her head against his chest with her arms around his waist. A knock on the door broke them apart.

"That will be our meal," Faelon stated firmly as he headed to the door. He wiped his eyes as he proceeded to open the door. A demon disguised as a human man pushed the cart in with two covered silver plates upon it. A bottle of champagne was chilling in an ice bucket with two wine glasses. His name tag read Felix and his eyes narrowed at Sophia. Faelon knew her bright soul would give demons pause so he observed him carefully.

"You may leave it. I can handle the rest," Faelon stated bluntly. The man glanced at him and seeing his stern eyes grew nervous.
