Chapter 41 Loyalties

Not being a full-blooded demon, Faelon had little to no genetic allegiance to Lucifer. The devil felt that Faelin being raised and placed in a prestigious position meant that his loyalties lay completely with him. Lucifer had never been so wrong. Faelon's son and Sophia were his utmost concern, then his friends and family. Faelon did, however, understand the importance of being attentive when he was being summoned. When it happened once again, waking him from his sleep, he cringed. He stumbled out of the twin bed he was in and called out for Hoka.

"Unbind me, Hoka or Lucifer will become suspicious!" Faelon stated firmly. Atlas glanced at him in concern as he rushed into the kitchen.

"I won't say anything to the bastard. Hoka, please put a mental block on me so the devil can't rummage through my memories," he mumbled sourly.
