Chapter 48 Painful Truths

Faelon's brain was spinning with the information his brother had disclosed. Sophia was looking over at the living room with narrowed eyes. Faelon glanced at what she was looking at and saw his mother looking sheepishly at the floor while Dagon escorted her toward them.

"She wishes to apologize for her earlier behavior," Dagon muttered sternly as he pushed Raven to face us. Raising her hand Raven offered it to Sophia. With Gian resting his head against her chest, Sophia offered her empty hand. Her blue hellfire crackled lightly along her fingertips bringing Raven's startled eyes up to hers.

"Oh my, I misjudged you dear, please forgive my earlier outburst. I was concerned about the life of my son," Raven said solemnly. Sophia grinned slightly and shook her hand.

"Your concern is mine as well, Mrs. Ogrith," Sophia replied. Raven suggested that they head to the living room to visit and give them a chance to get to know each other better. Bjorn nodded to Faelon indicating that they could
