Chapter 13

The hushed conversation between Dareen and Blake was interrupted by the resonant sound of the mansion's heavy wooden doors swinging open. In walked two young men, their presence commanding attention as they crossed the threshold of the living room. Icarus and Isaias had returned home after having liquor with Joseph.

Icarus, the elder of the two, possessed a tall, imposing frame, his physique carved by years of rigorous training. His jet-black hair, reminiscent of his father's, framed a chiselled face with sharp, intelligent eyes that mirrored his father's intellect. Isaias, the younger brother, stood just a shade shorter, his lean figure exuding an air of quiet confidence. His eyes, a warm shade of hazel, held a spark of mischief that set him apart from his brother who had eyes of Hazel with blue flecks. Only those who knew them well could set them apart.
