Andrea POV

"Andrea," Jax said, his voice barely above a whisper.

I didn't respond, still staring off into the distance.

"I know that I hurt you, and I'm sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen." Jax said.

I scoffed, feeling the anger and pain rising up inside me. "You never meant for any of this to happen? You let me believe that I had a chance with you, that maybe you felt the same way. But all along, you had already chosen someone else."

Jax took a step closer to me, and I could feel his heat radiating off his body. "Andrea, please, just listen to me. I never intended to hurt you. I was confused, and I made a mistake."

I finally turned to face him, my eyes red and swollen from crying. "A mistake? Do you even realize how much this hurts me? I'm supposed to be your protector, but who's protecting me?"

Jax reached out to touch me, but I pulled away, not wanting to feel his touch. "I can't do this, Jax. I can't be around you anymore. Not after what you did to me."
