Brenda sat on the couch in her massive, empty mansion, feeling the weight of boredom pressing down on her. She had just finished talking to her best friend Carla and her kid sister Ralia, both of whom had offered words of support and comfort. Their voices still echoed in her ears, and their heartfelt reassurances lingered in her heart.
