SAMERI

Dead eyes reflected back at her from the mirror. Years of loss portrayed on her lifeless face. Her once youthful features replaced with resentment, loss and revenge. Never did she fathom her life would end up this way. The loss of her children, years of searching, subjects she had to torture or kill to find answers.

Hope was all she held onto, even though that was a dull shimmer now. Sameri knew her children would be immortal, so she clung to that fact for dear life. Knowing one day if she did find them, the time they lost could be salvaged. Sameri was thankful to the high priest taking her virtue only because he gave her long lived children. Her being grateful for him left a sour taste in her mouth. He caused her nothing but pain her entire life by taking the only two people that meant the most to her.
