Forcing out a smile, she continued, "Oh, Chloe, you didn't mention that to me earlier. I knew you'd always get yourself a man like this; you two deserve each other,” she cheered, a flicker of disappointment crossing her face.

“What do you think about another wardrobe change before we leave for Dubai?” Jeff asked, pulling me into his arms.

Though what he said wasn't entirely a lie, he was going to Dubai in a few days for a business trip.
