“He wants his daughter back and said if we don’t hand her over, we will find out very soon what will happen.”

“He threatened you?” I was shocked but not really.

“Yes. That isn’t the issues. I mean, don’t fucking threaten me but it was what he didn’t say that has me worried. Do you want to know how he delivered this message?”

“Probably not but tell me anyway.”

“One of Nova’s childhood friends showed up beaten to an inch of her life. She was dropped a mile off of our land. Then he had a note delivered to the gate for the men to take to Axel. It was a picture of her with a note that said only her name.”

“Fuck…” That poor woman.

“Nova is very much devastated. Not sure if she will make it. Currently in a coma in the hosptial.”

“When did you find out about this.?”

“That phone call you over heard with Jasmine?” Waylon looked at me. I nodded and he continued. “It started with Axel and Jasmine jumped in.”

“Was that my burner phone?”

“It was. My phone is currently turned off.” W
