CHAPTER 30

EDWARD...

Slowly, I hung up. She is asleep now and hopefully won't wake up again. Turning on the speaker I kept the device on the bedside table before getting off the bed and stood on the porch.

It's quite obvious she had nightmares in her sleep and sometimes, she doesn't even know what her subconscious state was going through in the sleep... I realised it the first night she slept here. In the middle of the night, she was searching for me, asking me to not leave her. Saying she is pregnant. I realised it was Catherine inside her who was lost in some darkness.

It happened last night too and so I gave her that necklace with a microphone and tracker attached to it. I wanted to stay beside her in her every second of life. Good or bad, it's my need to stay closer.

Through the tracker, I also find out about the car incident in the morning. She did not share it with me. She did not want to worry me. And she shouldn't know that I know everything. She only needs to smile and stay happy, I
