Dominique called a meeting and had us contact Dent. We were not entirely certain what was going on right then. The urgency in her voice chilled me. Vanosti had been excited with her progress, but something must have happened for Dominique to need everyone.

“Long story short. Jadelynn is in a magically-induced coma. She is safe, but we need to extract her tonight. Vanosti let slip that he was bringing someone else in because she was showing progress and found something he believed was what he needed. He was going to have both of us work together. I lifted the fog that eclipsed you and everything she learned about herself. I told her to antagonize him and that I needed him to blast her with his magic. That was the only way for me to put her in the coma. I also ensured that my contact reached out to him to inform him that the power he seeks will be checking into a hotel two towns over tonight. The hotel room is already booked, so Vanosti will be waiting in that room for his arriv
