Chapter 29

JADELYNN

The last thing that I remembered was unimaginable pain followed by Camden apologizing to me over and over. I remembered hearing him sobbing, but I could not open my eyes or move. I was stuck in limbo between being awake and asleep. No matter how hard I tried to move towards his voice, I could not move.

He explained to me what Dominique had to do and how I would be stuck like that. It was very disconcerting, but it was necessary. The pain was what confused me though. I had become used to pain over the past year. All types of pain at that. This had felt so different though. I felt as something blasted into me and ripped my insides apart. It was something that I never wanted to feel again.

It felt like I was floating and surrounded by pain for days or months or years. There was no way to tell how long it had been before the pain went away, and I was no longer floating.

My body was surrounded by warmth, and an interesting scent. It was like a rainforest and very refreshing. I
