Fanning the Flames
When we were done questioning Genesis warrior, Alaric and I checked in on the big bad wolf himself, only to find him still knocked out from the silver and wolfsbane that was used to keep him sedated for the trip here. This worked for me though, I wanted to check on Valen.
As I neared the door to my private rooms, I confronted the warriors standing guard at the door.
“Did he give you any trouble?” I asked.
The exchanged an odd look before shaking their head no in unison. “Not at all.” The one of the left said, followed closely by the one on the right. “He came with us to the safe room easily.”
I felt that they were hiding something, but I wasn’t exceedingly worried about it at the moment and waved them away, telling them to get something to eat.
