Her Escape

“I wonder what you plan to do next,” Bella said as she cocked her head to the side. Suddenly, it seemed like her confidence had returned in its entirety.

Her gaze looked around the room, she deliberately slowed down so that Gerald could understand her point when she spoke next.

“I’m sure that everyone must have realised that I’m missing. Knowing Richard and the connection he has, he would have by now, activated all resources to be on the lookout for me.” Giving him an eye roll, she continued. “Then you made the foolish mistake of hiding me under his nose. Where do you think is the first place he would start searching from?”
