Chapter 5

I wondered what was wrong and glanced at Millicent whose mouth was set to grim lines.

Amora appeared contritely and a reality voice in the back of my head began to question her sanity.

"Did Amora betray me!" I pondered to myself as I watched Amora's timid face squish further to the floor.

I was startled as I gazed at Simon and Peter who led the guard.

Oberon and the other executives had been alerted and wanted to shapeshift but Oberon halted once more when he saw a recognition again between both parties.

Aryan waltzed into their presence in defence of me, and my Quadruplets did the same under the leadership of Lucas.

"Dahlia! How have you been all these years?" Elizabeth whimpered with her eyes pricked with tears.

Tears tracked down my skin when I saw this. I couldn't help but lose control over the sob that ripped away from my throat.

Wesley perused Aryan and then my Quadruplets.

"I see this is the stranger you mated and bonded under the moonlight and the fact that he was a perfidious malcontent, is rubbing off on you as you bore Quadruplets for him," Wesley thundered on his lungs.

"Don't speak about them like that, besides you have banished me," I said callously and turned to face Amora who was sweating like a dodgy shrimp on ice in fear.

"So why in the world did you betray me? What did I do wrongly to you?" I let out a faint raspy sob that I couldn't contain anymore, with tears in my eyes, trembling lips and corners of my lips falling towards the floor.

Amora was speechless as she stood like a dumb land post with tears in her eyes.

"What's the matter? She betrayed you to give us information about your whereabouts, she did the right thing," Millicent spoke harshly.

"Don't you speak to your sister in that way, she is still your older sister, don't you forget that," Elizabeth yelled succinctly.

"Not anymore, not when I have given her post to Millicent about five years ago," Wesley uttered with a stern expression.

"Mom, I want you to know that I love you, and I always did," I gurgled with a quiet shaky voice as I spoke.

"I love you too dear," Elizabeth wobbled with tears tracking down her skin.

"And as for you, I don't ever want to set my eyes on you anymore," I cast heated stares with my dark squinted eyes at Amora who wobbled in tears.

"Enough of all this, instead of all this lollygagging, you all should be worrying about the pernicious problem we have of the alpha Ottiline Levine," Aryan caveated.

"Who the hell is that!" Wesley barked with indifference.

"Wait a minute Dad, I think I have heard about her, she usually mates with alphas of other packs and turns them all into her slaves," Milicent face beamed with terror.

"Well, I don't give a damn about that," Wesley uttered with an unfazed expression.

"I don't even know why I wasted my time to check on you because you are still a nobody and very useless, you remain banished," Wesley resolved as he left forcing Elizabeth to leave with him.

Simon's gaze pierced my soul and I felt very contrite for breaking his heart and it made Aryan suspicious. Aryan had to forgo it with that of care, because of what I had been through.

"It's alright Dahlia, they are gone," He said as he engulfed me into his bosom and I sobbed vigorously...

Amora waggled towards her cottage feeling contrite about her actions.

She knew it was very inexplicable to explain and would be very subtle for her and even Blake to believe.

To be her bewilderment, Blake was waiting at her entrance with his arms crossed.

He appeared to clench his hands and gritted his teeth afterwards, with his tanned face turning Rudy red.

"I know you must have caught wind about what happened," Amora began summoning the courage to explain the inexplicable once and for all.

"Of course, I heard, but I found it subtle to believe that's true for the sake of our childhood, and am not swift to believe what others are saying except I hear you confirm it's inerrancy," Blake simmered on anger as his blood boiled.

"Well, it's true, that's the fact, everything you heard was true, I betrayed Dahlia by exposing to her her family about her whereabouts, but trust me it was never to hurt her it was so she could be with her family again," Amora burst out in tears as she spoke.

Blake's veins popped and he almost slumped. "Even though she told you that's what she didn't want and you still betrayed her! Oo I bet there was something else to that, isn't it?" Blake roared in distress and clinked his feet to the ground impatiently.

"Yes, meeting Aryan for the first time, I fell in love immediately and it was love at first sight. I and Dahlia case had always been similarly avoiding mating with anyone simply because we didn't found anyone worthy to be called a mate, so I had to do what I did so that Dahlia could return to her family and I could be with an Aryan," Amora blurted out.

"Just listened to yourself, so what about our childhood friendship, it was also down the drain because of your selfish feelings, so you wish to mate with your childhood friend's mate and you went to betray her because of it?" Blake thundered in his lungs and Amora remained mute, sobbing in tears.

"Well, you have Also betrayed my friendship and it's the same thing with Dahlia," Blake said callously and walked away from her.

"No, Blake, not you also," Amora implored but he had already exited leaving her to weep about her actions...

"Everyone listen to me," Aryan started. The members of the pack huddled themselves in one crowd to listen attentively to what Aryan was about to say.

"We have a pernicious problem at hand. As you all have heard, Ottiline would do everything within her powers to make sure that she tries to mate with as many as possible and turn to slaves," Aryan said.

"So what's the solution to our problem," one of the members yelled.

"We join forces, your pack joins with mine to form one," Aryan said facing me and darting his gaze from me back to the pack who appeared dishevelled and bewildered about what he had just said...
