Melissa's Pov

A loud alarm went off in my head, I closed my eyes with trembling lips as I tried to figure out what just happened, the pain I felt on my face was so unbearable that I became speechless at the moment, my eyes fixed to the table.

"Nelson, what have you done?!" I heard Conri let out in an angry tone but I couldn't look up. The slap caught me unawares and it felt like a loud sound kept ringing non stop in my ears.

"Stay away from this Conri! This is none of your business!" Nelson fired at Conri with deep fury.

"It is my business Nelson, you should not have laid your hands on her, you don't have any right" Conri spoke back, this time, his voice was subdued with deep rage.

Hot tears welled up in my eyes,I tried so much to prevent them from falling. I was never expecting Nelson to hit me,so hard that I felt my face paralyzed, my jaw hurts so bad.
