Chapter 58

Mia's Pov

"We need to move fast," Anastasia said, rubbing her wrists. "They'll be back any minute."

Together, we approached the door. I pressed my ear against it, listening for any sounds outside. The corridor seemed quiet, but we couldn't afford to be careless.

"On three," I whispered. "One, two, three."

We burst through the door, adrenaline pumping through our veins. The corridor was dimly lit and empty, but we knew that our captors wouldn't be far.

"Which way?" Julia asked, glancing around.

"Left," I said, remembering the direction the figures had come from. "Let's go."

We moved quickly and silently, our senses on high alert. Every shadow seemed to hide a potential threat, every sound made us jump. But we pressed on, determined to escape.

Finally, we reached another door. I pushed it open, revealing a stairwell leading up. "This must be the way out," I said, hope rising in my chest.
