Chapter Forty - Childish In The Rain

The drive to Tawny's home had me silently freaking out a bit. I had no idea what to think of the older woman. I mean she wasn't just any mother, she was Tawny's mother. I had no idea why I kinda wanted to make a good impression and I had no idea how to even make that happen.

"Stop over thinking this okay... you'll be okay..." she said sounding like she was reading my thoughts and I rolled my eyes, "easy for you to say.. You're not on your way to meet my mom.."

She giggled a bit, "see I'd look forward to meeting your parents. The way you talk about them is so nice. So I know they were amazing people. Same as my mom.. you'll be fine I promise. So don't be hard on yourself okay.."

"Right... keep talking it's helping.."

She laughed, "Just be yourself.. and I tell you, she'll be herself too.."

I sighed and decided to calm down a bit. If I didn't think about this a lot I will be fine. I could think about anything else other than this, but it was huge. I couldn't just avoid it. Ta
