Chapter Eight

“Okay, now calm down, Nikolai," I said, shifting. Nikolai's smirk only widened as he pushed the plate away.

“Now why should I do that?" He asked. I tapped on the table as I tried to figure out a way to divert his attention.

“Seeing as it's my first time in New York don't you think you should show me around? I mean, it's been hours since we arrived," I told him, standing up. Nikolai raised a brow.

“At this time?" He asked. I scoffed and out my hands on my hips.

“If you can come back at this time then I'm sure you can also take me out, Nikolai," I told him. Nikolai smiled and stood up.

“Sure, princess," he said. And just when I thought he'd let me go, he added, “But don't think I've forgotten the original plan, Sarah." Then he walked out.

My cheeks flushed red and my jaw slacked. Nikolai was already far ahead of me so I quickly gathered myself and followed him out. I took my coat too since it was cold at this time.
