POLLEN'S POV

I was awoken by the savoury aroma of sausage and eggs cooking. I rubbed my tired eyes and looked over to the clock on my nightstand: 7 am. A gasp left my mouth as I sprang up, the noise I made must have woken Laura. Her sleepy voice called out from her bed, “What’s wrong ?” She mumbled and went back to sleep.

“ Wake up, Laura” I tapped her gently and rushed to the closet.

“ What is it?” She kept grumbling until her eyes fell on the clock. “Oh My God!” Laura exclaimed and threw the duvet off her body“ We are late”

“I know” I responded, bringing out the dress I had arranged last night for church.

Suddenly, our door burst open, and our mother popped her head in.

“ Be in the kitchen,now” She commanded and left Without shutting the door back.

“ What's going on? She has been moody since last night” Laura came to my bed to whisper.

“ I don't know,” I shrugged.

“ We need to find out, or else we will suffer the consequence of keeping quiet and acting nonchalant” She said and dash
