Chapter Thirty Four

Klaus PoV

I woke up with an extremely loud pounding on my head. It seemed as though my head was split into two, starting from the forehead. My vision was blurred as I opened my eyes, and I had to blink several times before it slowly cleared.

“Damn!” a painful groan escaped my lips as I tried to sit up.

With each movement I made, no matter how small, the pounding in my head got louder, my vision blurred, and my entire body ached so bad that it felt like I’d been run over by a herd of raging bull.

My memory was fumbled together and I could barely remember where I was, not to talk about how I got there. Fragments flickered through my mind, but none of it made any sense.

“Took you long enough,” a hoarse voice broke through my nostalgic run.

I could barely make out the face or even the person. All I saw was a blurry figure bring a bowl towards me.

“Here, eat!” he ordered, “it’ll help trigger your healing.”

I wanted to tell him that I’m not hungry for food, but hungry for information, that
