Chapter Eleven

I woke the following morning, expecting to find Kaine asleep beside me, as I had every morning. As I rolled over to lay my arm across him, I found him missing. I groggily woke up to the sound of distant screaming happening outside. I yawned, and quickly got up. I grabbed a fresh tanktop and a pair of jean shorts from the dresser. I dressed quickly and slipped on my flats. I tossed my hair up into a messy bun as I headed down the stairs.
