Chapter 30 – Two Plus One Point

(Eve's POV)

A mother must be a good actress.

Despite what I felt, I had to smile and laugh with them. Isabella saved us all in that awkward moment. She boasted about her good performance in class. Theo, her classmate in the same class, complained about the long hours in the classroom. In their previous school, it was a three-hour class, but in their new school, it was five hours.

Cooper shared the same feelings with his brother, telling Ben and Wyatt how he hated his new school.

“You should make friends,” Ben suggested.

My son lowered his face and sighed. “I don’t like them.”

“It’s okay, buddy,” Wyatt said cheerily. “You’ll find one soon,” he assured, sincerely smiling at my son.

Cooper wrinkled his nose and shrugged. “I’d rather hang out with you,” he murmured, tearing his slice of pizza into two.

“We can be best friends,” Wyatt offered.

“I like that,” Cooper grinned, nodding and eating his food.

My son focusing on food meant he did not want to share more, and what Wyatt had said was
