Chapter 44 – The Sex Goddess In Lingerie

(Eve's POV)

“Don’t ask,” Callahan said, turning off the engine at the basement parking area.

“You won’t hear me asking.” I raised my hands, unbuckled my seatbelt, and exited the car.

I curled my lips, sneering as I closed the door. After his dagger looks and silent treatment, who would dare ask him a question? I would ask about Ruby Alvarez later, or maybe not. But I had to do his schedule for tomorrow and make necessary adjustments if Ruby decided to follow up on something.

Again, that is if she wants to do it in the office.

If they agreed to meet somewhere else, there was nothing to follow up on. I let out a resigned sigh and shook my head.

“What now?” My adorable boss asked impatiently.

I shrugged, following him inside the elevator. “I didn’t say anything.”

“You’re sneering and sighing. That’s a lot for a woman,” he muttered, pressing the 5th-floor button.

I grinned. “Oh, you read women.”

“Eve,” he snarled, squinting his eyes.
