Not a Good Dad

Devin' POV:

I had to admit that I was not a good dad.

Amy turned one year old last month, and I still didn't help to feed her milk, change her diapers, and even wear her clothes upside down. No wonder that this kid scowled at me every time I met her.

I was deeply ashamed. So, I planned to take her to find Brooklyn, trying to sort out her previous dreams, and cultivate the relationship between us, between the father and the daughter. Unfortunately, we didn't get along very well on the road.

Amy disliked my rough hands for hurting her skin, disliked that the milk powder I soaked was either too hot or too bland, and the nursery rhymes I sang to her were indeed a disaster. Every time, she would wrinkle her face, and raise her little hands before beating me hard. Although it didn't hurt at all, she looked more like a spoiled child, calling out "Rascal!" in a milky voice.

Although I couldn't bear the loss of my wife, I still thanked Lucy for leaving her to me.
