"Being here without you is like I'm waking up to only half a blue sky, kind of there but not quite. I'm walking round with just one shoe. I'm half a heart without you."

Genevieve slowly blinked her eyes open as she didn't feel any pain.

Her ears were ringing from the loud sound of collision and crashing, her body was shaking from fear, but she wasn't hurt. Well, not any further from the scratches earlier.

Her eyes wandered to Lucy's side, where she was also looking outside to see what had happened. There were no scratches or pain inflected among them, and Isaac's black car wasn't where it was just seconds earlier.

Instead, it was a few steps over in front of them. Side broken, and another car's hood was smoking as it suffered the crash.

The car was, again, familiar to her.

It was her mother's.
