OUT OF LOVE

Sylvia guided Fred down to her neighborhood. After driving for over an hour, they arrived at a junction with the signpost Queens street. Sylvia pointed at the straight path ahead of them. “That's my street. I grew up here and most of my fond memories live here.”

Fred began wheeling the car down the path. “I now know why you and Eleanor are so gorgeous. Queens were raised here after all,”

Sylvia giggled.

Fred felt a different atmosphere after he swerved down the road. The houses were almost glued to one another, unlike the neighborhood he was fondof.

“In this neighborhood, we are like family. As long as you stay here, you can knock on any door at any time and ask for something.” Sylvia said.

Fred turned to her with a quirked brow. “Really?”

“Sugar, salt, a jar of oil, or any other thing you're short of.”

“Wow!” Fred mumbled.

“As long as it's an emergency,” she added.

Fred chuckled. “That's right. It will be unfair to go around begging for things because people here are generally nice.”
