Fifty Seven

THE FEAST

The king of the Arbedour pack was seated on his throne with the queen beside him.

The pack is getting wider by the day, and most humans find refuge in Arbedour. Everything was flourishing.

There has been no physical war between Arbedour and Blessingstoke, but the packs knew that one of them would strike one day, and the war would start once again.

"When will I be going to Westland county?" The king asked.

"I don't think you need to go, my Lord. The road is risky in the day and more riskier in the night. I won't let you go." The queen responded.

Shortly, an elderly man walked in. They both stared at him until he was a few metres away from them.

"My majesty." The elderly man greeted the king, showing his respect by bowing down to him.

The king sighed, staring at the man intently. "What brings you here today? We shouldn't be seeing each other for three more days."
