Chapter 14: Jordan

"Wow.  You guys have done an excellent job on this one!"  I exclaim when I see how far they have come and what they did with their time while I was gone.  

Ted turns around and smiles at me, commenting, "Well we did learn from the best, after all.  So, what made you decide to come back from your honeymoon early?"  He laughs and I watch his face turn serious.  "We were beginning to wonder if you had ditched us for good because of that rich chick."

Putting my hands up in the air like I'm surrendering, I say, "Actually, we weren't on our honeymoon, it is complicated."

"Oh.  So you took a married woman out of town for a one-two.  That a boy."  All the guys start chuckling and Ted punches me in the arm.

"No, more like her husband is abusive and I was hiding her so she could get her attorney to file for divorce."  I say in a matter-of-fact tone of voice.

The room grows quiet, and the guys go bac
