Chapter 15: Lillian
The phone rings, instantly killing the mood. I guess it was good that I stopped while I did. Picking up the phone and seeing the attorneys contact info, I answer it. Concerned, I ask, "What's wrong now?"
Right away Mr. Jefferson answers, "As you guessed, he is fighting the divorce. Stating the reason why he won't let you have it is that he deserves every cent you have because you are cheating on him. He claims he has all kinds of evidence of your affair and that there is no way you will ever keep the children and your money."
Shocked, I swallow hard, "Do you have any idea what kind of evidence he has? I mean, he has cheated on me all these years and he is giving me a hard time?" I ask in disbelief.
"No, I don't, but that doesn't mean he doesn't. Matter of fact, knowing him all too well, I would say he probably hired a private investigator and that's how he keeps finding you too." He states sarcastically.

The last few days were really hard, because I spent most of the day with Lillian and then I went to the shop to check up on their work. I had lied to her when I said they were doing a wonderful job. As I wake up in my own bed, a smile spreads across my face and then I turn to Jordan who is still sleeping. Damn, I was hoping to give him a big kiss and then maybe make his day with a morning BJ. Slowly opening my eyes, I notice that I have a massive headache and I feel like someone has beat the hell out of me. There is a sound in the room like an air conditioner on the fritz with its whine constantly going on in the background and I hear something else too. Perhaps television static from the other room?
