CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

Esther ran to Richard who was kneeling on the floor unable to locate his thoughts. If not for her, Jina would have shoved the knife in his skull on an impulse and sent him to his maker. It was by mere luck that she was still awake when she had something go bang and came hurrying to check.

"Uncle, are you alright?" She said, examining him. It was definite she was nervous and frightened. He seemed to have completely lost the plot. She turned and met Jina's gaze. The latter was incredibly angry that Esther wished she hadn't looked at her hateful eyes. After muttering some indiscernible utterances, Jina briskly covered her body in her bathrobe, clicked her tongue in resentment and flounced out of the room.

Seldom had she ever got scared of Jina at that moment. She was now aware of the extent to which she could go once she got angry.
